BYD officially launched the Seagull Honor Edition on March 6th, offering a more affordable price range compared to the previous version. The starting price is now 69,800 yuan (~$9,700), which is 4,000 yuan lower. The car comes in three trim levels: Vitality (69,800 yuan/$9,700), Free (75,800 yuan/$10,530), and Flying (85,800 yuan/$11,920).

BYD has offered two battery options for the Seagull Honor Edition

Despite the lower price, the Seagull Honor Edition remains a compact car with a length of 3780mm, width of 1715mm, and height of 1540mm. The wheelbase is 2500mm. All models come standard with Bluetooth, NFC keyless entry, 4G car connectivity, and navigation.

In terms of performance, all Seagull Honor Edition models are equipped with a single electric motor with 55kW maximum power and 135Nm peak torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

BYD offers two battery options for the Seagull Honor Edition. The standard battery has a capacity of 30.08kWh and provides a CLTC pure electric range of 305km. The top-of-the-line Flying version gets a larger 38.88kWh battery, which extends the range to 405km.

The Seagull Honor Edition comes standard with a good set of safety features, including airbags, parking sensors, rear camera, and cruise control. The Flying version adds even more advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.

The base Vitality version uses 15-inch steel wheels, while the Free and Flying versions get 16-inch alloy wheels. Standard features across all trims include LED headlights, imitation leather steering wheel, wireless phone charging, and power windows with anti-pinch function for the driver’s window.
